Circulatory Care of New Jersey is a unique and highly specialized medical practice that is committed to providing our patients with compassionate, complete, and state of the art management for the full range of circulation disorders, both arterial and venous in origin. Under the experienced medical direction of David
E. Cohen, M.D, patients with circulatory disorders are offered complete consultative evaluations, advanced in-office diagnostics, and cutting edge, highly innovative therapies using minimally invasive catheter-based treatments of all kinds, performed with local anesthesia, typically on an outpatient basis. Because many of the therapies offered to our patients are unique, many patients have traveled great distances to avail themselves of our services.
We offer a wide variety of treatments for vein disorders in our office-based Center for Advanced Vein Therapy. Here we perform exciting cutting edge office-based treatments for a wide variety of vein disorders including varicose veins, venous ulcers, and telangiectasias (spider veins). Our expertise in endovenous laser therapy is well known, and physicians frequently come to Dr. Cohen for training in this technique. For more information, click here.
We also offer exciting new therapies for patients suffering from peripheral vascular disease involving the iliac, femoral, popliteal, and tibial arteries leading to conditions such as intermittent claudication, nonhealing foot ulcers, gangrene, and a variety of leg and foot pains. Many of these therapies are of great value in patients suffering from diabetes mellitus, many of whom face the risk of amputation. We are able to offer many patients highly effective alternatives to bypass surgery. These treatments relieve claudication symptoms, help to heal foot ulcers, and help many patients to avoid major surgery and amputations. We successfully treat many patients who have already not responded to surgical procedures.
In addition to standard angiography and angioplasty procedures, the interventional procedures we offer include catheter-based atherectomy (e.g. SilverHawk, Diamondback), cryoplasty,
stent implantation, laser
angioplasty, stent-graft
implantation for abdominal aortic aneurysms, and mechanical
thrombectomy. We are highly experienced at combining many of these modalities in novel ways allowing us to treat long occlusions previously considered to be untreatable. These innovative approaches greatly expand the numbers of patients who can benefit from our procedures. We have also had extensive experience in renal artery stenting, carotid
artery stent implantation, and stent-graft implantation therapy for patients with aortic aneurysms.
