Center For Advanced Vein Therapy
About the Vein Center
The Center for Advanced Vein Therapy represents
an exciting program for us at Circulatory Care of New Jersey. In
the long tradition we have established in our innovative arterial
therapies, we are now offering a full range of the latest minimally-invasive
therapies for disorders of the venous system as well. By
offering such treatments for both arterial and venous disorders
we are able to offer a vast number of patients relief from the
full range of circulatory disorders of the leg.
Venous insufficiency is an extraordinarily common disorder of
the veins of the lower extremities, effecting a large proportion
of the population. While more common in women, many men
also suffer from this disorder. While cosmetic concerns
are frequently the reason many seek treatment, others have serious
and disabling symptoms such as leg pain, restless legs, burning,
leg fatigue, bulging varicose veins, swelling of the ankles,
skin damage, skin ulcers, thrombophlebitis, and hemorrhage.
While traditional treatment has been compression stockings or vein-stripping
surgery, there are now new, safe, minimally-invasive office-based ambulatory
procedures can be offered to most patients which lead to prompt relief of
symptoms, cosmetic improvements, and a rapid return to active lifestyle. These
treatments include endovenous laser ablation (or "EVLT"), ambulatory
phlebectomy, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, as well as cosmetic sclerotherapy
for spider veins.
In order to tailor our treatments to our patients' needs, we offer a full range
of advanced ultrasound/duplex imaging in our office which allows us to accurately
diagnose the nature of the problem and make a treatment plan that is individualized
for each patient.
